BCFD selling T-shirts to raise money for breast cancer research

The t-shirts are available to the public at just $15 each with half of the proceeds going to Susan G. Komen.

 The Bossier City Fire Department is making it “fashionable” to help in the fight against breast cancer.

       The department is selling specially designed T-shirts to benefit the Susan G. Komen Northwest Louisiana affiliate.

       The shirts feature the breast cancer awareness ribbon with “Bossier City Fire Department” prominently displayed on the back and “BCFD” on the front.

       The T-shirts are available for sale to the public at just $15 each. Half of the proceeds from the sale will go to the Susan G. Komen Northwest Louisiana affiliate with the other half covering the cost of the shirts.

       Orders can be placed from now until mid-September by calling the Bossier City Fire Department at 741-8700 on weekdays during normal business hours.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
