Bossier City police officers promoted


Bossier City Chief of Police Shane McWilliams (right) has promoted two Bossier City police officers.

Joel Frentress (left) was promoted to the rank of sergeant. He has been a member of the Bossier City Police Department since 2001. Richard Nunnery (center) was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

Initially, his law enforcement background will be questioned by many rank and file at the Shreveport Police Department (SPD). Reportedly, his service as public information officer and then head of the SPD Crime Stoppers program did not entail any supervisory or investigative activities.
