Loomis employee arrested for stealing

An employee of Loomis armored transport was arrested on Monday for stealing money from a business on her route, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Lakeisha Davis, 27, of the 2700 block of Elmhurst in Shreveport, was arrested for felony theft following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Frank Edmondson. Davis was booked into the Shreveport City Jail and was expected to be transferred to the Caddo Correctional Center later today.

Edmondson said Davis came under investigation after a bag she picked up from a local business was short $5,261 when it was dropped off at Loomis. The money was accounted for when she picked it up, he said.
