The inside northbound lane of Airline Drive under I-20 was temporarily closed down around noon Wednesday due to a traffic incident.

Mark Natale with the Bossier City Police Dept. stated a boom on a trackhoe that was being hauled on a tractor trailer struck the bottom of the eastbound span of the I-20 bridge causing hydraulic fluid from the trackhoe to spill onto the road.

Officials with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development were on scene conducting their investigation and assesing the damage done to the bridge. The Airline Drive turn lanes to both east and westbound I-20 were also temporarily closed due to the incident. The lanes were reopened a short time later.
