Water line break results in boil advisory for Oak Alley subdivision

A water line break this afternoon has resulted in the City of Bossier City issuing a boil advisory for residents in the Oak Alley subdivision.

The affect line is located along Beene Boulevard at the entrance of the subdivision. Due to state regulations whenever a boil advisory is issued it must be made publicly, thus this news release.       The advisory is a precautionary measure and advises residents affected to voluntarily boil their water before consuming it until the health department can test the water. The advisory pertains only to water used for consumption. Again the advisory is only a precautionary measure. This is a boil advisory, not a boil order.

The city will notify the media when the advisory is lifted.
