Fatal crash on Hwy. 3132

Caddo sheriff’s deputies are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday evening on Highway 3132 between Walker Road and West 70th Street.

Just before 5:30 p.m., the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling west on 3132 when she crossed the median and hit an eastbound GMC Terrain. The driver of the GMC was taken by fire department personnel to University Health Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her name is being withheld until her family has been notified.

The driver of the Ford, Julie Hazel, 31, of Waskom, Texas, and her 3-year-old passenger were taken by fire department personnel to Willis-Knighton South with nonlife-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
