Police looking for missing man

Shreveport police are asking for help in locating a man who has been missing since last week.

Brein Smith, 31, has been missing since Jan. 21 and was last heard from by his employer on that date.

Smith was said to be driving a blue 2009 Ford F150 pickup truck with Delaware license plate number CL37092.

No last known clothing description was available for Smith, who is described as a 6 foot 8 inch tall male with black curly hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Missing Persons detectives at 673-7020 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.

Initially, his law enforcement background will be questioned by many rank and file at the Shreveport Police Department (SPD). Reportedly, his service as public information officer and then head of the SPD Crime Stoppers program did not entail any supervisory or investigative activities.
