The weekend of April 3-5 will be a winelover’s paradise as Shreveport-Bossier’s premier wine-tasting event takes over Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport, 2-5 p.m., Saturday, April 5. In addition to the tasting event, CORK highlights include the annual Premier Wine Dinner and a Riedel glass seminar. CORK, a fund-raiser for the Red River Revel Arts Festival, is presented by Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport.

At Saturday’s headline event, guests will enjoy tasting more than 80 wines of various varietals. Visit www.corkwinefestival.com for a complete list and description. CORK also features samples of dishes from several of Shreveport-Bossier’s finest restaurants, including The Vintage Steakhouse, Ristorante Giuseppe, Bella Fresca, Chianti, Silver Star, Drake Catering and more. While sipping and tasting, guests can enjoy live music and raffle drawings for exciting prizes including a reserved table for 10 at next year’s festival.

Individual tickets are $85 and only 1,400 tickets will be sold. Reserved tables for 10 are available for $1,350 and include early VIP entrance.

Thursday, April 3, CORK will present its annual Premier Wine Dinner at Eldorado Resort Casino Shreveport. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with champagne and hors d’oeuvres at Allure Ultra Lounge and continues at 7 p.m. in The Vintage, Eldorado’s gourmet steakhouse. Tickets are $150 each.

The Riedel Glassware Seminar, presented by Glazer’s Family of Companies, will be held at Riverview Hall at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5. The $50 ticket includes a set of four Riedel wine glasses valued at $75, plus a bonus glass from Glazer’s.
