Shreveport police looking for missing man

The Shreveport Police Department needs the public’s help in locating a missing adult male who has not been seen or heard from since October of last year.

Stephen Davis, 24, h as been missing since last October when he was last seen by family.

No last known clothing description was available for Davis.

The missing man is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall with an afro-style hairdo, or he may possibly be wearing braids.

If anyone has any information regarding Davis’s whereabouts, they are asked to call Missing Persons detectives at 673-7020 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.

Initially, his law enforcement background will be questioned by many rank and file at the Shreveport Police Department (SPD). Reportedly, his service as public information officer and then head of the SPD Crime Stoppers program did not entail any supervisory or investigative activities.

One million dollars down the drain to pay for a special session of the Louisiana legislature. And all for naught.
