Two suspects arrested for armed robbery at apartments

Bossier City police have arrested two men in connection with an armed robbery of an individual that took place last month at an apartment complex.

Kenneth Wayne Johnson Jr., 30, and Eddie Charles Ashley, 39, both of Bossier City, were arrested on armed robbery charges after they turned themselves in to police on Monday.

Both men are accused of rob bing a man at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Parkland Villa Apartments in the 31200 block of Shed Road on Feb. 28.

Johnson and Ashley were booked into the Bossier City Jail on arrest warrants that detectives had secured as a result of their investigation.

Both men have since been transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. Their bond is set at $150,000 each.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
