Shreveport Police investigate fatal crash

Authorities have identified an Elm Grove woman who died this morning following a multi-car accident Monday afternoon in south Shreveport.

On Monday March 17, 2014, members of the Shreveport Police Department responded to a four vehicle crash that occurred on a private parking lot located in the 7800 block of Youree Drive.  The crash, involving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2007 GMC Yukon, 2011 Honda Odyssey and a 2012 Ford Expedition, sent the driver and passenger of the Tahoe to the hospital with the passenger suffering serious injuries.  No other injuries were reported during the crash, as the GMC and Honda vehicles were both parked and unoccupied the time of the collision.  The Ford vehicle was parked and occupied by a single occupant who was not injured.

Shreveport Police Crash investigators arrived on scene at the accident and were able to determine from witness statements along with crash site evidence, the driver of the Tahoe, 78 year old Jimmy Shockley, may have momentarily blacked out while operating the vehicle.  Investigators believe a medical condition may have factored into Shockley’s actions, thus causing the subsequent collision with the other vehicles.  Shockley’s vehicle initially struck the GMC, which was pushed into the Honda, which struck the Ford.  Shockley, along with his wife, 78 year old Margie Shockley, who suffered serious injuries during the collision, were both initially transported to Willis-Knighton Pierremont. Due to the significance of her injuries, Margie Shockley was subsequently transported to University Health Medical Center, where this morning she succumbed to her injuries. While authorities do not suspect alcohol as a causative factor, a mandatory toxicology test was submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime lab fro processing.  The case remains under investigation.

One million dollars down the drain to pay for a special session of the Louisiana legislature. And all for naught. The governor is hollering that the financial sky is falling and the state is in dire fiscal straights. Legislators protest that their hands are tied by too many constitutional dedications.

It was much to my amazement that literally hundreds of Ukrainian girls were actually interested in me. Throughout each day, I would receive e-mails from the agency, with each e-mail sending a message from a woman interested in dating me.
