Police searching for pair of armed robbery suspects

Shreveport police are on the lookout for a pair of suspects who robbed a local restaurant early Sunday morning.

Just after midnight Sunday, Shreveport police patrol officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Sonic restaurant located in the 6100 block of West 70th Street.

Witnesses inside the business told authorities that they were preparing to close for the evening when two male suspects wearing dark clothing and coverings over their faces entered the business through an unlocked back door.

Once inside, the armed men reportedly demanded money at gunpoint after ordering the employees to the ground.

The two suspects received an undisclosed amount of money from the business and then fled the scene on foot, heading east bound toward Pines Road.

Both suspects were described as black males, one standing roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall and the other, 5 feet 10 inches tall. No approximate weight was available.

Shreveport police robbery detectives began an investigation. Presently, authorities are trying to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this crime.

Anyone who has any information regarding this robbery is urged to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or on their Web site at www.lockem up.org.
