Assault victim stabs her attacker
A Shreveport man found himself behind bars after being stabbed by the victim of an alleged attempted sexual assault Saturday night in east Shreveport.
Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, Shreveport patrol officers were called to the intersection of Allen Avenue and Anna Street in reference to a male suffering a stab wound.
When officers arrived, contact was made with the victim, 43-year -old Christopher Perry of Shreveport. Perry was transported to University Health Medical Center for treatment of several minor stab wounds to the arm. His injuries were considered to be nonlife-threatening.
Detectives soon gathered evidence which suggested that Perry was the suspect in an attempted sexual assault call that was reported just blocks away in the 1600 block of Poland Street.
Authorities learned that two female victims were present at the Poland Street residence when Perry reportedly made attempts to sexually assault both women.
During his alleged actions, one of the female victims armed herself with a knife and stabbed Perry during a subsequent struggle.
Based on information gathered during the continuing investigation, Perry was subsequently charged with one count each of sexual battery and simple battery.
Upon release from the hospital, Perry was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
