SPD idetify man found slain in east Shreveport

 The Shreveport Police Department is seeking answers surrounding the death of a man found slain outside an apartment complex in east Shreveport.

 

Just before 11:00 p.m. Monday night, (June 23), Shreveport Police Patrol officers were called to the Oak Meadows Apartments located in the 1900 block of Centenary Boulevard relative to reports a man was found lying on the ground, suffering from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the head.  Upon the arrival of first responders, it was learned the man, identified as 27-year old Christopher Jamison Williams, was deceased. 

 

Shreveport Police Crime Scene investigators along with Violent Crimes detectives were notified and responded to the scene of the discovery.  Investigators immediately began a probe of the circumstances surrounding the death and are working tirelessly to gather additional information leading to the identity and apprehension of the person or persons responsible.  In speaking with nearby residents, it was reported a single gunshot was heard; however no further details were provided.
