Catholic Charities of Shreveport changes name

As the Catholic Charities of Shreveport approach their fourth anniversary, they are excited to announce that as of July 1, they will officially become Catholic Charities of North Louisiana.

“As we grow and expand out area of assistance to the poor and vulnerable, we want our name to better reflect the broader geographical area in which our service will be available,” the charity noted in a release announcing the change.

They currently have satellite offices in Lake Providence, La., and are in the process of securing one in the Monroe/West Monroe area.

“We are happy for the opportunity to give much needed assistance to more of those whose need is so great.”
