ID released in July 4 ATV fatal

Caddo Sheriff's deputies say the victim in a fatal 4th of July ATV crash was a 23-year-old Monroe woman.

Courtney Kenny was a passenger on a Polaris Ranger driven by Nicole Arbour, 22, of Mandeville, when Arbour lost control of the vehicle and it flipped. Kenny, Arbour, and a third woman, 22-year-old Lauren Pigeon, address unavailable, were riding in the Polaris on a dirt road in an open field. They were attending a gathering in the 4600 block of Dixie-Shreveport Road.

Kenny was transported to Willis-Knighton Bossier where she was pronounced dead. Arbour and Pigeon were treated at University Health.

None of the women were wearing a helmet or seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit.
