Three suspects behind bars in robbery caper

Three local men were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with an armed robbery in west Shreveport.

At about 11:20 p.m., Shreveport police patrol officers were flagged down by an adult male victim in the 7000 block of Louise Street who reported he had just been robbed at gunpoint by three male suspects.

The victim said the suspects fled the scene of the crime in a maroon vehicle.

Moments later, responding officers located the suspects and their getaway car in the 300 block of West 70th Street.

The men were subsequently taken into custody without incident.

Authorities recovered property belonging to the victim and seized a handgun they believe was used in the commission of this crime.

Based on information and evidence gathered during the ongoing investigation, robbery detectives have charged the suspects, identified as 22-year-old Shamichael Gilliam of the 2800 block of Crown Street, 26-year- All three suspects have been booked into the Shreveport City old Gentry Jones of the 700 block of Woodmont Place and 26-year-old Nathan Sullivan of the 8200 block of Rainbow Drive, with one  count each of armed robbery. Jail.
