Traffic advisory issued for tomorrow nights concert

Miranda Lambert-Dierks Bently concert Thursday night at Centurylink Center

Due to a heavy amount of vehicle traffic expected at tomorrow night’s Miranda Lambert/Dierks Bentley concert at the CenturyLink Center, the Bossier City Police Department is advising motorists to plan accordingly to help minimize traffic congestion in the area.

Concertgoers should make plans to arrive early. The doors will open for the show at 6:30 p.m. with the concert scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.  Motorists not attending the show should consider using Barksdale Boulevard and avoiding traveling on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in the vicinity of the CenturyLink Center during the early evening hours tomorrow as concertgoers arrive. Motorists are also advised to avoid traveling on the ART Parkway near the CenturyLink Center when the concert crowd lets out at approximately 11 p.m. due to the large number of vehicles that will be exiting the area.

Drop off and pick up traffic for the concert is advised to utilize the circular drive off the ART Parkway in front of the CenturyLink Center’s main entrance.

Bossier City police officers will be on hand to assist with traffic control.
