What started out as an investigation into recent armed robberies has resulted in multiple arrests and solved a few unrelated criminal cases as well. So far, 12 people, including three juveniles, have been booked on a variety of charges including armed robbery, auto theft, narcotics and obstruction of justice, among others.

Reserve police officers are members of the community who are trained under state requirements as certified law enforcement officers and supplement fulltime Bossier City police officers in a variety of duties. They serve on a volunteer basis and possess the same law enforcement authority as full-time officers while on duty.

Every five years, several ad valorem property taxes are placed before the citizens for renewals that provide basic city services and salaries/ benefits for our first responders and other city employees. The last time this occurred was 2013. In 2017 the taxes expired, and we made the decision to only go out for the taxes when necessary, and not before.
