In the early hours of April 20, Shreveport Police Officers conducted a traffic stop, which resulted in the apprehension of a suspect and the recovery of a stolen vehicle. At approximately midnight, officers intercepted a vehicle determined to have been reported stolen. The driver, identified as 36-yearold Gequitta Myles, was promptly taken into custody for possession of the stolen vehicle.
On April 19, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call in the 700 block of W. 73rd Street regarding a male individual brandishing a firearm and threatening another individual. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim had sustained injuries to the head as a result of being struck with the firearm.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting on I-20 west of Greenwood.

The owner of Shreveport-Bossier Pain Clinic explained to police that he left his business June 21 due to a tornado disaster and returned June 30. That’s when he discovered that the business in the 7900 block of Line Avenue had been forcibly entered and more than $20,000 worth of property had been taken, authorities report. To date, authorities said, investigators have received no leads in the case.
